Situated in an indigenous Blue Grotto forest of the Central Drakensberg, in the shadow of the towering Cathkin Peak. It boasts an elevated rock face walkway with a good mix of both cliff face and treetop platforms. There are 12 cable slides that zigzag 60 metres above the river gorge. The Drakensberg Canopy Tour should automatically go to the top of your “must do” list.
Nature like never before as you slide through the forest canopy and enjoy a unique birds-eye view of the world around you. The forest is home to 150 species of birds including the rare Bush Blackcap.
The canopy tour is led by trained guides as you glide between platforms perched in trees and on cliff faces. The inspiring nature of the majestic Drakensberg, the ancient indigenous forest, waterfalls and the cascading stream below, makes this an opportunity not to be missed.
